Scissor Lifts for Data Centers and Server Rooms

Data center and server room work needs lifts that fit narrow aisles, protect clean floors, and run emission-free indoors. Here is how to choose the right narrow scissor lift or vertical mast lift for the job.

Why data centers are different

Tight aisles (often about 44 inches), raised floors, sensitive equipment, and clean indoor environments mean standard wide scissor lifts will not fit or are not appropriate. You need narrow, electric, non-marking machines.

The 44-inch aisle problem

Standard scissor lifts run 46 to 48 inches wide and will not clear a 44-inch aisle. Narrow and micro scissor lifts run about 30 to 32 inches wide and fit, with the LGMG SS2632E micro at 31.9 inches wide as an example that also passes through standard doorways.

Micro scissor vs vertical mast for data centers

Micro scissor gives a small platform for one to two workers; vertical mast lift is single-person and even narrower for the tightest aisles and stock-picking style tasks. Choose based on how many people and how much gear you need up top.

Electric, non-marking, and clean

Data centers need zero-emission electric drive and non-marking tires to protect floors and air quality. All our indoor narrow units meet this.
